Inauguration of Washington Capital Solar Parks II and III
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
On August 12th, 2022, President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader participated in the first phase for the construction of the Washington Capital Solar Parks 2 and 3 Photovoltaic Parks. The projects are quoted at 67mW and 73mW respectively, and are each expected generate around 110 million kWh of clean power per year.

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic A new photovoltaic (PV) project recieved its final concession in April of 2022. Construction for this 67Mw power plant is expected to break ground in August 2022. Minutes from the capital, solar park is expected to generate around 110 million kWh of clean power per year, connected with a 22-km, 138-kV transmission line, and costs about $60 million to build.

73Mw Washington Capital Solar Park III
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic The final concession resolution of a new photovoltaic (PV) project has been approved, and expected to be signed before June 30th, 2022. Construction for this 73Mw power plant is expected to break ground in August 2022. Minutes from the capital, solar park is expected to generate around 110 million kWh of clean power per year, connected with a 22-km, 138-kV transmission line, and costs about $65 million to build.
